With chants and cheers and smiles and waves, 6-year-old Nathan Herber was welcomed back to class for the first time in 900 days after undergoing cancer treatment.

Nathan's classmates packed the parking lot of St. Francis of Assisi in Rochester, Minn., to welcome their classmate home, waving their homemade signs and sharing their support.

The six year old was diagnosed with Stage 4 T-cell, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2018 and has been learning online for the past year while his treatment continued.

Nathan is planning to return to school in the fall and his parents say it's all he talks about — and it's pretty clear why.
