FARGO – A CodeRED phone alert was issued Wednesday, March 14, as authorities were searching for a vulnerable, elderly man who was later found.
The alert was sent out by the Red River Regional Dispatch Center shortly after 5:50 p.m., asking for the public’s help in locating 72-year-old Meng Chinwongs.
About 10 minutes after the alert was issued, Fargo police said on Facebook that the man had been found and was safely on his way home.
Chinwongs has severe dementia and was seen leaving his home in the 3800 block of 10th Street North in Fargo about 3:15 p.m.
