WATCH: TEDxFargo throwback series features co-founder of nonprofit health organization

FARGO — TEDxFargo livestreamed a conversation with Dr. Dziwe Ntaba at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 7. Ntaba gave a 2019 talk titled "Beyond Bedside Manner — The Healing Power of Dignity & Respect."

Ntaba is a co-founder and board member of Village Health Works, a nonprofit organization that operates in Burundi, East Africa. The organization has expanding programs in health, education and economic development. Its campus is powered almost entirely by renewable energy through a hybrid system of hydro-electric and solar power.

Ntaba has a long-standing interest in issues of health and poverty in Africa. During the West African Ebola Outbreak, he deployed for over a year as training director for a multi-agency program.

Musical entertainment will be provided inside the fellowship hall featuring the 19th Avenue Jazz Singers of Fargo North High School and the Big House Band of Fargo Faith. Hot drinks and holiday treats will be served.
