Ingemund Peterson, 110, New Rockford, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, in Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.
Mr. Peterson was bornJune 6, 1894, in Norway, where he grew up and attended school. In 1915, he moved to Warwick, N.D., where he worked for H.C. Hanson. He then farmed near Warwick. He moved to Montana and later to Bemidji, Minn. On Nov. 3, 1934, he married Nora Johnson in Warwick. In 1948, they moved to Warwick. He worked as a carpenter and a farmer. In 1976, they moved to New Rockford. In 1996, they entered the Heritage House, New Rockford. In 2001, they entered the nursing home. She died in 2002.
He is survived by a daughter, Marlys (Kenneth) Throlson, New Rockford; a brother, Thor, Devils Lake, N.D.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Today from 11 to 5 and Friday from 9 to 7 in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford, with a prayer service Friday at 7 in the nursing home.
Funeral: Saturday at 11 in Warwick Lutheran Church.
Burial: Warwick Cemetery
