Doris was born to Millard and Ann Walstad on March 11, 1930, in Norman County, Minn.
She has three children, Jerry (Nancy) Christianson Bismarck; Nancy Strom (Greg) Duffy, Mankato, Minn.; and Joseph Strom, Fargo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
