FARGO - A ceremony to raise the Patriot Flag will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jack Williams Stadium, 1133 Elm St., Fargo.

The 300-by-58-foot flag is touring the country, flying in all 50 states before it flies in Manhattan, Washington and in Pennsylvania on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

As the flag tours the country, it is meant to send a message that those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, have not been forgotten.

The flag will be flown at the stadium, and members of the military, local veterans organizations, emergency services personnel, police and firefighters will be recognized for their contributions on and following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The Rev. Jerry Protextor of Peace Lutheran Church, Fargo, who lost his stepson, Robert Rasmussen, in the attacks, will be the keynote speaker.
