Over the past few years, Sarah Hultin has developed a recognizable style, depicting faint, haunting imagery with heavily textured technique. Primarily using a pallet knife, the young artist creates space more than lines, and atmospheric space at that. The Hoople, N.D., native's scenery seems inspired by old farmhouses on the landscape, both growing and decaying at the same time. Hultin talks about her new show at ecce gallery, 216 Broadway, Fargo, when her newest show opens with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. (701) 298-3223.
