Winner: Edgewood Golf Course
From the array of leagues or tournaments for golfers, Edgewood Golf Course offers locals a supportive community where people can go practice their skills with people who know them on a first-name basis.
"The most rewarding part of what we do is seeing people excited to come and play Edgewood on a daily basis," said Greg McCullough, Edgewood's head golf professional. "Many times we hear that every day they play here is different, and has such a beautiful setting."
McCullough credits Edgewood's charming landscaping and facilities for locals' love and repeated interest. In fact, Edgewood Golf Course has received the Best Golf Course award for four consecutive years.
"It feels great to win this honor again," he said. "I was a little surprised, based on the delay we had in opening due to the flooding we had this spring."
McCullough said the day Edgewood opened Judge Rodney Webb golf park was filled with excitement. Many community members came out to see and practice on the green during its opening days.
"The support that the community gives golf in the Fargo-Moorhead area is tremendous," he said.
