FARGO – The city will host a panel discussion on portrait photography 5:45 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the City Commission Chambers, Fargo City Hall, 200 Third St. N.
The discussion will cover the role of the portrait, from ancient times to the selfie, taking as its point of departure the 16 portraits of people, places and things by photographer Dan Koeck in the “Parallels” exhibit at City Hall. Photographers Dan Francis, Ann Arbor Miller and Jon Solinger will join Koeck on the panel.
“Parallels” curator Tania Blanich will moderate the panel. The public is invited to view the Koeck exhibit prior to the discussion. “Parallels” will be on view through Saturday, June 30.
