FARGO — The country's longest-running scholarship and recognition program for creative teens is now accepting submissions from North Dakota students.
Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to apply for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards before the Dec. 11 deadline.
The awards are presented by the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Since 1923, creative teens around the country have been recognized for their talents through the program.
For more information about art and writing categories and how to submit, visit www.artandwriting.org. An informational session is planned for North Dakota students wanting more information on Dec. 1. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to get the Zoom link for that session.
A virtual ceremony is planned for March 13, 2021, to recognize all North Dakota winners and exhibit visual art winners. Gold-level winners in each state advance to the national competition.
