FARGO — Area libraries kick off their summer reading programs this week with tons of fun activities for area kids and teens.

The West Fargo Public Library launches its annual Summer Reading Program with the Summer Reading Kickoff Party from 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 3, at the library, 109 Third St. E.

Many activities will be available during this all-ages event, including West Fargo Public School's Sky Lab, STEM activities through Inspire Innovation Lab, model railroad trains, storytime with guest readers and more. Children are also invited to register for the summerlong program.

The Fargo Public Library will host "Escape the Library!" events for area teens Tuesday, June 4, at the downtown Main Library, 102 Third St. N.

Clever and resourceful teens ages 11-18 are invited to register for one of three sessions (1, 2 and 3 p.m.) to help kick off the teen summer reading program. All materials are provided.
