Moorhead Public Library to host book talk, history performance

MOORHEAD -- The public is invited to several events at the Moorhead Public Library, 118 Fifth St. S., offered free of charge, thanks to funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

MOORHEAD - The public is invited to several events at the Moorhead Public Library, 118 Fifth St. S., offered free of charge, thanks to funding from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

A presentation by author Matthew Valan, on his book "Sister Secrets" about the author's sisters who were eventually diagnosed with bipolar disorder, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17.

Witness history come to life with popular living history performer Arn Kind, who will discuss Minnesotans' experiences on the battlefields of World War I, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, "A Minnesota Love Story" will be shared about two Minnesota teens who were separated after an unplanned pregnancy in the 1950s and reconnected years later.
