FARGO — Well-known professor and historian Thomas Isern will visit the downtown Fargo Public Library main branch on Tuesday night, Nov. 27, to discuss his new book about the Great Plains.
“Pacing Dakota,” Isern's seventh book, is a collection of essays on the history and culture of the Great Plains. The book documents his travels throughout the region, his observations of the changing landscape in the state of North Dakota and cherished stories from Williston to Wahpeton and beyond.
Isern, who is a longtime professor at North Dakota State University, will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 102 Third St. N. Isern will do a book signing after his presentation, and his books will be available for purchase. For details, call 701-241-1492.
