FARGO — The Fargo Public Library is hosting fun, free events to help Fargo residents make the most of their holiday break.

Beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, children 12 and younger are invited to create a Lego masterpiece for the Fargo Public Library's annual Lego Mania Design Contest. Kids build their own original creation at home and bring it to the downtown Main Library, 102 Third St. N., for judging and display. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, and preregistration is required. Call 701-241-1495 for more information or to register.

As part of the library's Northern Narratives project, the library will offer open writing sessions for any interested writers. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, teens 13 and older and adults are invited to get their work reviewed by a helper and workshop their work at the Northport Library, 2714 Broadway N. At 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, kids and families are invited to visit the downtown Main Library for the PJ Masks-arade New Year's Eve event. The festivities will feature superhero activities, crafts and snacks, and all materials will be provided. For more information, call 701-241-1495.
