FARGO — The Fargo Theatre will open its doors for the first time in over a year, starting May 1.

The iconic downtown theater had been closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Thursday, April 8, announcement of the upcoming reopening, theater staffers said all guests will be required to wear masks. Seats will be reserved to allow for safe social distancing and restrict capacity.

Throughout that first month, the theater will host a mix of dance recitals, film screenings and private events.
