Another year is winding down. With 2020 just days away, there's a new decade of opportunities on the horizon just waiting to happen.

Whether you've accomplished everything you set out to do in 2019 or you feel like you fell just short of your dreams, there's reason to celebrate.

New Year's Eve ranks sixth in favorite holidays among Americans — an estimated 92 percent of U.S. adults celebrate the holiday, while only 70 percent plan to stay up past midnight to ring in the new year. Cities around the globe host huge celebrations for partygoers, complete with fireworks, free-flowing drinks, a giant ball drop and confetti. So. Much. Confetti.

But not all of us can afford a trip to Sydney, Australia, Tokyo or New York City for an epic night of celebrating. Thankfully, there is plenty to do around the Fargo-Moorhead area to ring in the new decade. Here are a few ideas we rounded up to get you out of the house and ready to celebrate.
