MOORHEAD — The city of Moorhead proclaimed June 14, 2021, Lucille Thrasher Day, in honor of the singer.

Thrasher made her Fargo-Moorhead Opera debut in 1981 — three years after her professional debut in Colorado — and was a fixture in the company until her final show, “Three Decembers,” in 2019. She’s also known for teaching in the music department at Concordia College before retiring this year.
