FARGO — Fargo native Diane Miller has been named host of The Current’s "The Local Show" on Minnesota Public Radio.

Miller was a fixture in the Fargo music scene for years as a solo act as well as fronting the hip-hop group D Mills & The Thrills and singing in Heavy is the Head. In her time editing and writing for the High Plains Reader, she promoted regional and national acts.

Since moving to Minneapolis in 2018, she was awarded the McKnight Fellowship for Musicians and named a board member of the Minnesota Music Coalition in 2021.

As host of "The Local Show," which airs from 6-8 p.m. Sundays, Miller will highlight artists making waves around Minnesota.
