MOORHEAD — Two more summer theater programs have canceled this year’s performances due to the coronavirus outbreak.
On its homepage, The Moorhead-based Gooseberry Park Players announced that for the first time in 38 years it would not stage a production. The note said theater organizers hoped to bring this year’s selection, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” to the stage in 2021.
The Fargo-Moorhead area troupe Act Up Theatre also recently announced it was canceling its summer production of “Cabaret.” The board intends to stage the musical in 2021.
In April Trollwood Performing Arts School announced it was canceling all summer programming, including its mainstage musical, “Cinderella,” and Minnesota State University Moorhead's Straw Hat Players also announced its cancellation last month.
