Trollwood gets 'Freaky' with 2019 musical

MOORHEAD — Trollwood Performing Arts School will stage "Freaky Friday!" as its mainstage musical in 2019.

This production of the classic Disney story of a mother and teenage daughter who swap bodies will be the regional premiere of the stage musical. The show will open July 11, with performances set for July 11-13, July 17-20 and July 24-27 at the Bluestem Center for the Arts, 801 50th Ave. S. Individual tickets will go on sale on June 6, while discounted group sales for the purchase of 10 or more tickets on a single performance night are available now.

Cast auditions will be held Feb. 24-27. Orchestra auditions will take place March 7-9 and March 12. All auditions are open to students currently in grades eight through 12, and students may sign up for an audition time now. In addition, students may participate as a run crew member or technician by registering for summer programs beginning Jan. 9.

A free audition workshop will be held at Bluestem on Sunday, Feb. 3.
