Cara Erickson and Alex Myers, Detroit Lakes, Minn., announce their engagement.
Parents are Roger and Lisa Erickson, Moorhead; Paula and Kelly Zimmerman, Chokio, Minn.; and the late Bruce Myers.
Cara graduated in 2004 from Moorhead High School and in 2009 graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor's degree in special education. She is a special education teacher at Detroit Lakes Public Schools.
Alex graduated in 2003 from Moorhead High School and in 2005 graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, with a degree in automotive technology. He is a service writer at Webber Family Ford, Detroit Lakes.
An April 30 wedding is planned at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
