FARGO — North Dakota State wide receiver Jimmy Kepouros has transferred to Northern State for his final season of college football eligibility, he announced Thursday, May 7, via Twitter.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Kepouros had 30 catches for 394 yards and two touchdowns last season for the Bison, who won a third consecutive NCAA Division I FCS national championship. NDSU posted a 16-0 record last season.
Kepouros had three catches for 12 yards and a touchdown in the FCS semifinals against Montana State. He had two catches for 62 yards and a TD in the second round of the playoffs against Nicholls State.
Kepouros was listed as a senior on the roster last season, but entered the transfer portal to play at a non-Division I school. He announced in April his D-I clock had run out, but wrote in a Twitter post he could "transfer to another level so I can continue my dream."
Northern State is a Division II program in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, the same league as Minnesota State Moorhead.
