By adopting body cams, Moorhead is joining most of the other law enforcement agencies in the Fargo-Moorhead area that have acquired, or, like Moorhead, are working to obtain, body cameras for officers.

The Fargo Police Department has spent the last year trying to figure out why its clearance rates of sexual assault cases are low. The Forum dug into the numbers, and asked what Fargo police are doing to improve their stats.
With smashed out windows, holes in the walls and blood on the floor, landlords are out thousands of dollars after a renter trashed a more than century-old home in Moorhead.
According to the lawsuit, when Moorhead police officers arrived they would not listen to Todd Boggis when he tried to explain that the man who assaulted him was among a crowd that had formed in a hallway. When Boggis tried to move toward the man to point him out, an officer threw him to the floor, shattering his right femur, the suit said.
Further discussion on the new proposed ordinance over the sale of edible cannabinoid products was postponed by the Moorhead City Council until more members can be present.
New findings are still being looked into by investigators in the death of Tommy Bearson 8 years ago after he disappeared from NDSU.

Both men are Level 3 offenders, meaning that authorities have deemed them as having a high risk of reoffending.
It all started as a call for shots fired in Fargo, which led to a chase that reached more than 100 miles per hour at times, according to Moorhead police Sgt. Scott Kostohryz.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at the law enforcement center at 911 11th St. N. in Moorhead.
