Jenna Griffith and Matthew Smaby, Minneapolis, announce their engagement.
Parents are James and Renee Griffith, Colfax, N.D.; and Nick and Michele Smaby, Minneapolis.
Jenna graduated in 2002 from Richland High School, Colfax, and in 2006 graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor's degree in biology. She graduated in 2009 from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Minneapolis, with a doctorate in chiropractic medicine.
Matthew graduated in 2003 from Shattuck-St. Mary's High School, Fari-bault, Minn., and attended UND. He is a professional hockey player with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa, Fla.
The wedding will be Saturday at St. Olaf Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Walker Art Center, both in Minneapolis.
