WEST FARGO — A high-risk sex offender reported a new address in West Fargo, the West Fargo Police Department reported Friday, June 11.
Registered sex offender Robert James Rhode reported his address to be 825 Main Ave. E. The North Dakota Attorney General's Office rated Rhode as a high-risk offender. It's the greatest risk rating the office assigns.
Rhode pled guilty to gross sexual imposition in 2010 after he raped a 64-year-old Grand Forks woman . He had been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Rhode had also previously been charged with four other misdemeanors including simple assault in 2009, court records stated.
Rhode is 5-feet-8-inches and weighs 160 pounds, police reported.

Those with concerns regarding registered offenders are asked to contact the West Fargo Police Department. The department does not "encourage or condone vigilante action" against other residents, the release concluded.
