Fake news panel discussion Oct. 25

The Northern Plains Ethics Institute (NPEI) at North Dakota State University will host a third panel session addressing fake news. The panel will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at NDSU’s Century Theater.

The event will focus on how to know the difference between opinion and reporting, as well as how to tell the difference between good and bad versions of both. The forum was created in response to the continued community demand from the NPEI’s first two panels on the same topic.

Panelists include: Steve Hallstrom, president/managing partner, Flag Family Media; Joe Radske, news director, KVRR local news and Danielle Webster, reporter, Prairie Public. Robert Mejia, assistant professor in communications at NDSU, will moderate the panel.

Questions from the audience are highly encouraged.
