With more than a decade of experience in journalism, Zettel-Vandenhouten has covered education, general assignment and solutions stories during that time. She has also edited opinion content and focused on audience engagement.
Zettel-Vandenhouten and her teams have received awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She speaks English and just enough Spanish to navigate her way through Buenos Aires, Argentina.
