North Dakota State won a 25th consecutive game Saturday, knocking off fourth ranked UC Davis 27-16.
The Bison didn't have their best performance with a turnover, some costly penalties and the offense struggled for the middle part of this game. The defense allowed yards, but not points, holding the high flying Aggies to just one touchdown and three points in the second half.
NDSU intercepted Walter Payton award contender Jake Maier three times, including a pick from sophomore Michael Tutsie, his fourth interception in the last three games. Sophomore James Kaczor added 11 tackles moving to the linebacker spot for this game.
The Bison are off to a 4-0 start for the eighth time in the last nine years, they will enjoy a bye weekend this coming Saturday before opening Missouri Valley Football Conference play October 5th at Illinois State.
