Sealed bids for the construction of Downtown Water Tower, according to the drawings and specifications will be received by the City Auditor until 11:30 a.m. on December 2, 2020 by one of the following options:
1.Mail to City of Fargo, Auditor's Office, 225 4th St N, Fargo ND 58102 (Write "Downtown Water Tower" on the outside of your envelope)
2.Deposit your envelope in the Drop Box located at the entrance of the City Hall employee parking ramp, on 3rd Ave N. (Write "Downtown Water Tower" on the outside of your envelope)
Bids will then be opened and read aloud at 11:45 a.m. on December 2, 2020 in the Engineering Conference Room in Fargo City Hall. The public is encouraged to view this bid opening from their computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting
Bids shall be based upon cash payment for the following general items:
Construction of a new 2.5 million gallon composite elevated water storage tank, site building demolition, site utilities, mechanical, electrical, demolition of existing 0.5 million gallon multi-leg elevated water storage tank and associated appurtenances.
Bids will be received as a Lump Sum bid for combined General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction and also for separate General, Mechanical, and Electrical work The Owner intends to award the Bid based on either the lowest separate Bids or lowest combined Bid, whichever is in their best interest. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
A pre-bid site tour will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at 1:30 pm. Attendees shall meet at 1102 7th Avenue North, Fargo, North Dakota at the designated time. The Owner and Engineer will be available for questions during the site tour.
Work under this Contract shall be Substantially Completed by July 28, 2023. Final Completion shall be achieved by September 29, 2023.
