Public Notice
The City of Fargo Engineering Department, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City of Fargo's intent to revise the flood hazard information for the area commonly known as Mickelson Levee, generally located between 12th Avenue North and 7th Avenue North in Fargo. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along the Red River of the North from approximately 100 feet upstream of 12th Avenue North to approximately 2,970 feet upstream of 12th Avenue North.
As a result of the revision, the floodway shall widen and narrow between cross sections 353.5 and 353.45, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations shall increase ( to a max of 0.09') and decrease, and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall widen and narrow (minimally) within the area of revision.
