The Phase 1 portion of the building includes the new academic spaces, central commons spaces, athletic spaces, and the existing Sports Center renovations. These areas are to be completed and ready for occupancy Fall 2023. In no case will the deadline for project completion be extended. The Information to Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Form of Bid Bond, and Form of Performance-Payment Bond, Drawings, Specifications, and other contract documents may be examined at the following places: Zerr Berg Architects, Inc.; Gehrtz Construction Services and the Builders Exchanges of Fargo-Moorhead or Bismarck, North Dakota; Aberdeen, South Dakota; Minneapolis, St. Cloud, FW Dodge/McGraw Hill Plan Room, or Minnesota Builders Exchange, Minnesota. Copies may be obtained at the office of Gehrtz Construction Services, located at 510 4th Avenue N, Fargo, North Dakota, upon payment of $200.00 for each set. Any unsuccessful bidder, upon returning such in good condition within 15 days of the bid opening, will be refunded his payment. Documents will also be available electronically on Procore. The Owner reserves the right to except or reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities or inequalities in the bidding. Each sealed bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or a bidders bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid made payable to the owner, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that if the principal’s bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, within ten days after notice of award, the principal will execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and a contractors bond as required by law the regulations and determinations of the governing board. Bidders must comply with Minnesota Statutes, Section 16C.285, Subdivision 3. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
