A special scheduled meeting of the West Fargo School Board, West Fargo Public School District #6, pursuant to due calls and notice, was held at the Leidal Education Center boardroom on August 3, 2020, at 6:00 PM, with President Patti Stedman presiding.
Members present included Vice President Jim Jonas, directors Dan Schaefer, Jon Erickson, Kara Gravley-Stack, and Trisha Page. Also present, representing the school district was Superintendent Beth Slette, Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Allen Burgad, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction Rachael Agre, Business Manager Levi Bachmeier, Human Resource Director Robin Hill, Technology Director Ed Mitchell, and Secretary to the Board Alicia Severson. Director Jessica Jackson was absent.
Dr. Gravley-Stack moved, seconded by Mr. Erickson, to adopt the agenda. The motion carried unanimously.
Superintendent Slette presented the WFPS Return to Learn Plan to the board and answered questions from the members of the board.
Mr. Erickson moved, seconded by Dr. Gravley-Stack moved, to approve the change order for Horace High School per administrative recommendations. The motion carried unanimously.
The board reviewed the agenda for the August 17, 2020 board workshop.
Dr. Gravley-Stack moved, seconded by Mr. Erickson, to approve the consent agenda which consisted of minutes from the regular meeting of the school board held on July 13, 2020; three resignations; and authorization for the administration to purchase 1,200 Apple iPads. The motion carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:24 PM.
