Liberty middle schooler heading to national leader conference

Wentz going to Envision’s Junior National Young Leaders Conference

This summer, Kiera Wentz from West Fargo, will join outstanding middle school students from across the nation to take part in Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) in Washington D.C.

JrNYLC is one of the Envision by WorldStrides family of programs that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom.

Wentz was nominated to attend the conference by her eighth grade English Language Arts Teacher, Mr. Lugsch-Tehle at Liberty Middle School. In addition to leading the school’s recycling program, Wentz enjoys running track and field.

She dreams of being a search and rescue pilot and Environmental Protection Agent through the National Park Service. Wentz is looking forward to gaining important concepts of leadership to prepare her for communicating with government agencies and elected officials. Learn goal setting, problem solving, critical thinking skills and teamwork. Kiera is exited to explore ways to make a difference.
