FARGO — Volunteers from a paint store set out to make a woman's day — and home — brighter.
Sherwin-Williams teamed up with Rebuilding Together to repaint the home of an elderly woman on 17th Street North in Fargo. Volunteers worked all day to touch up the trim, the siding, and even the shed. All of them say they couldn't be happier to do a job for someone who isn't able to do it herself.
"I've been doing charity throughout my whole life, so just another way we can get out and be involved in the community in a positive way, so people can see us doing good things in the community," said Steven Schmidt, who works with Sherwin-Williams in Fargo.
Both Sherwin-Williams and Rebuilding Together say the goal was to give the woman a new look to her old house.
