WEST FARGO — Vendors are stocking their shelves and carnival crews are prepping rides before the Red River Valley Fair opens its gates Tuesday, July 9.

A group of about 75 carnival crew and grounds staff started setup on the fairgrounds last week. With over 40 rides on the midway and more than 50 vendors, crews are working around the clock to get everything ready.

Fair organizers said they've been working hard on some new features, too.

"It's a brand new midway so everything you're going to see out here is brand new this year," said fair Marketing Coordinator Breann Lenzmeier.

The fair starts at 11 a.m. Tuesday and runs through Sunday evening.
