Oak Grove Seniors, Jorgen Dietz and Sarah Philip have been named as Barry Foundation Scholars. Jorgen has been awarded the Barry Scholarship and Sarah has been awarded the Barry Select Scholarship.These awards recognize graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership potential, and commitment to serving their community

Cmdr. Brian C. Kesselring, a 2000 Concordia graduate and Fargo native has been named Sent Forth recipient by Alumni Relations. Kesselring joined the Navy in 2001. Following fighter jet training, he served with several squadrons, trained aircrew at the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), and completed combat deployments in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, and Inherent Resolve. The Sent Forth Award is conferred upon young alumni who have distinguished themselves early on in their careers and service to others

Kayla Breuer and Cassandra Wiecks, both of Fargo have received the Development Foundation Honor Scholarship at North Dakota State University in the amount of $1,000. Breuer will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in accounting, while Wiecks will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in exercise physiology.

Marlis Mueller of Fargo received the Grace E. Bayliss Silver Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500 and the North Dakota State University Fargo Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship in the amount of $500. Mueller will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in elementary education, human development and family science.

Zoie Mueller of Fargo received the North Dakota State University Fargo Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship in the amount of $500, the Henry and Em Eggert Honors Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and the Development Foundation Honor Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Mueller will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in animal science.

Aaron Melby of Fargo received the Henry and Em Eggert Honors Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and the North Dakota State University Provost Award in the amount of $6,000. Melby will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in business administration with a minor in sports management.

Tyler Balluff of Moorhead received the North Dakota State University Presidential Award in the amount of $12,000. The scholarship recognizes students who scored 32 or higher on the ACT and high academic achievement. Balluff will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in mechanical engineering.

Andrew Erickson of Fargo received the Doosan and Bobcat Company Scholarship in the amount of $8,000 and the Presidential Honor Award in the amount of $10,000 at North Dakota State University. Erickson will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in engineering.

Marjorie L. Johnson, NCTM, of Fargo has been honored by Music Teachers National Association as a 50-year member of MTNA.

Kristy Brandt of Fargo, graduated from the Drake University School of Law in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ella Walen, Jacob Lilja, Abby Lech, Kaylee Bonn and Harrison Astrup have all received the North Dakota State University Provost Award in the amount of $6,000. The scholarship recognizes students who scored 25 to 28 on the ACT and high academic achievement.
