Minnesota State Community and Technical College announced more than 40 Minnesota students have been awarded M State Workforce Development Scholarships for the coming academic year in the first round of scholarship awards. The following students from Moorhead received scholarships:
The North Dakota Air National Guard recently named Airmen Staff Sgt. Jessica Harper and Staff Sgt. Sarah Harper, as Family of the Year during a ceremony at Minot Air Force Base on July 17. Both Airmen are assigned to the 219th Security Forces Squadron. Serving with active duty U.S. Air Force units at Minot Air Force Base, this squadron is a part of the Fargo-based 119th Wing, nicknamed the "Happy Hooligans". The Harpers earned this recognition for their volunteer and morale-building efforts within the 219th Security Forces Squadron over the past year, as well as their contributions within the local community.
Kasey Livingstone and Christopher Youngs have been named recipients of the Kim Marchell Endowed Scholarship at Bethany Retirement Living. Each will receive $500 to apply toward nursing education for the 2020-21 academic year. Livingstone is a graduate of West Fargo High School and attended the North Dakota State College of Science. Youngs graduated from Moorhead High School. He is enrolled in the RN program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
Timothy Victor, from Fargo, received the North Dakota State University Provost Award in the amount of $6,000. The scholarship recognizes students who scored 25 to 28 on the ACT and high academic achievement.
Davies High School students have earned North Dakota Department of Public Instruction Seals of Biliteracy for proficiency in World Languages.

- Silver: Abagail Berg, Koate Deebom, Alyssa Gierke, Pleasure Jerue, Ian Komorowski, Sarah Ramstad, Clarissa Satrom, Elijah Satrom, and Ciara Tomanek
The 15 students who earned the NDSB in Spanish are:
- Gold: Emily Dunlap, Greta Ivesdal, and Joanna Lin
- Silver: Jada Bell, Gracie Boyd, Makenzi Johnson, Nashat Khan, Zachary Kluvers, Payton Lane, Tori Larson, Akshay Monick, Samuel Moser, Alonna Narum, Erica Peters, and Marvin Tian
The student who earned the NDSB in Latin is:

Concordia College in Moorhead has announced the names of students whose superior academic achievement during the second semester of the 2019-20 academic year placed them on the Dean’s Honor List. To qualify for this designation, students must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits and have a grade point average of at least a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.
