701 celebrates Summit Beer with special dishes and social

Brewery founded by Wahpeton native and UND grad, Mark Stutrud.

FARGO — Fargo eatery 701 is celebrating St. Paul's Summit Brewing Company and its North Dakota native founder Mark Stutrud this week.

Summit Week features four special dishes -- a garlic Gorgonzola burger, pork cheeks, clams & chorizo and a stout brownie -- to pair with five Summit beers on tap, Extra Pale Ale, Saga IPA, Oatmeal Stout, Winter Ale and Horizon Red IPA.

At 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb., 9, Stutrud will host a social starting upstairs in Lonetree before moving to the Prairie Kitchen dining room.

Stutrud is from Wahpeton, N.D., and his family near Rugby, N.D., grows the barley for the lager, Dakota Soul . He graduated from the University of North Dakota.
