FARGO-Author Gracia Burnham will speak at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4575 45th St. S.
Burnham wrote New York Times best-seller "In the Presence of My Enemies" after she and her husband, Martin Burnham, were kidnapped by terrorists in the Philippines. The couple were missionaries and spent 13 months as hostages in the jungle. They were rescued in 2002, but Martin Burnham died in the violent rescue. Burnham points to her faith as guiding her through the tragedy.
She also wrote "To Fly Again" and founded the Martin & Gracia Burnham Foundation.
The event is free and an offering will be taken to benefit Child Evangelism Fellowship of Fargo & Moorhead. For more information, visit www.GraciaBurnham.org .
