Beast Mode Challenge new for Turkey Days

FRAZEE, Minn. - The family of Myrel Schermerhorn, who died in a car accident in 2011, has created a physical fitness event in memory of him at the Frazee Turkey Days set for Saturday.

FRAZEE, Minn. - The family of Myrel Schermerhorn, who died in a car accident in 2011, has created a physical fitness event in memory of him at the Frazee Turkey Days set for Saturday.

The Beast Mode Challenge includes four activities: pull-ups (or bent-arm hang for women and all-female teams), sit-ups, push-ups and a one-mile run.

Participants can compete individually or in teams of four. Prizes will be awarded to participants and winners, and qualified participants will be eligible to receive a $500 and $1,000 scholarship.
