Bluestem announces 9 summer acts; site will host MSUM's Fourth of July celebration

MOORHEAD - The 2015 Bluestem Summer Concert Series will feature performances by the likes of Gary Allan, Primus, Pat Benatar, Night Ranger, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson and John Prine, organizers announced Tuesday.

A news conference at Bluestem unveiled nine events at the Moorhead amphitheater for the summer and early fall.

Promoter Jade Presents also announced concerts by Hairball, American Authors and a stop by the Happy Together Tour, which features several artists who were radio mainstays in the 1960s.

During Tuesday's news conference, Minnesota State University Moorhead also announced its annual Fourth of July celebration will be held at Bluestem this year.
