BATTLE LAKE, Minn. - Members of the Region 3 Care Providers of Minnesota, an association representing those involved in long-term care, are sponsoring an event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan nursing facility.
The goal of the event is to "put a face on long-term care," according to organizers. Legislators will be available to meet with the public and discuss issues that face nursing facilities and housing/assisted-living facilities.
The event will offer nursing providers, housing providers, residents of these facilities and employees the chance to address the needs from their perspectives.
