Easter is a family holiday and there are lots of family-friendly events to pick from this weekend.
1. Family Skate Egg-stravaganza

Hopping seems to be a popular activity this weekend, but don't overlook the joys of roller skating. Skate City, 3302 Interstate Boulevard, S., Fargo, invites people to lace up for the Family Skate Egg-stravaganza Saturday morning. The good times start rolling at 10 a.m., with a coloring contest and more. Admission is $5 per skater, though free for parents of skaters. (701) 235-0555.
2. Moody River Band

Cody Conner died in 2012, but his music lives on in a new album by the Moody River Band. His brothers in guitar carried on after the blues-influenced picker passed and released an album, "Big Bad World," that includes his playing. The release party for the disc kicks off at 7 p.m., Saturday, at Sanctuary Events Center, 670 4th Ave. N., Fargo, with friends Mike Holtz, Loy Larson and more before Moody River closes out the night. The show will also be the last for guitarist Charlie Young. Tickets for this all-ages show are available at the door for $10, $5 with an instrument donated to the Cody Legacy Fund.
3. Easter Egg-Stravaganza

Atonement Lutheran Church, 4601 South University Dr., Fargo, marks the holiday with the family event, Easter Egg-Stravaganza. Things start at 10 a.m. with a worship and interpretation of the Passion of Christ. After that, there will be an egg hunt and egg dyeing, arts, crafts and a bouncy house. (701) 237-9651.
4. Easter at the Red River Zoo

If you're looking for some family activity on Easter Sunday, head over to the Red River Zoo, 4255 23rd Ave. S., Fargo. From 1 to 4 p.m. The event includes Easter egg hunts at 2 and 3 p.m., weather providing, scavenger hunts at 1 and 4 p.m., storytimes at 1:30 and 3:30 and more.
