Fargo Film Festival selections net Oscar nominations

FARGO — Four selections to this year’s Fargo Film Festival were also announced as Oscar contenders on Monday, Jan. 13.

Fargo Film Festival judges named Marshall Curry’s “The Neighbor’s Window” as Best Narrative Short winner and Meryam Joobeur’s “Brotherhood” as runner-up for the 20th annual Fargo Film Festival, which runs March 17-21. They're both in the running for Live Action Short Film in the Oscars.

Daria Kashcheeva’s “Daughter” and Siqi Song’s “Sister” are up for Animated Short Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, which will be held Sunday, Feb. 9.
