FARGO - Fargo events promoting company Jade Presents was named 81st on a list of the top 100 promoters around the world in 2013.
The company is run by Jade Nielsen of Fargo, who has produced nearly 6,000 events in 23 years, according to a press release. He has lined up touring groups to play spaces from the Aquarium to the Fargo Theatre to the Fargodome. The company produces events across the Dakotas, Minnesota, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska.
The release said Jade Presents plans to book more than 150 events in Fargo-Moorhead in the upcoming year. The next event will be The Beatles tribute act, The Fab Four, at the Fargo Theatre on Jan. 23.
The list of the top 100 promoters was released by touring industry publication Pollstar which ranked promoters by tickets sold. Jade Presents sold 176,220. In 2012 the company sold 145,650, good for the 94th spot.
Live Nation topped the list again with 33.2 million tickets sold, nearly 20 million more than second place promoter, AEG.
