FM Symphony Orchestra cancels final Masterworks concert, but will hold a chamber concert in late May

Originally scheduled for January, the show was scrapped due to scheduling issues.

FARGO — The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra concert scheduled for this weekend has been canceled.

The show was rescheduled to May after the original January dates were canceled due to high numbers of COVID-19 in the community. The new dates were canceled due to scheduling conflicts among musicians, bringing to a close this season’s Masterworks Concert Series.

The next FM Symphony concert will be the chamber concert, Brass, Beer and Brats, on May 20 at Fargo Brewing Co. FMSO Brass & Percussion will play fanfares and traditional bierhalle music. The concert will be held outside and is all-ages. Tickets range from $8 to $14.

This summer’s Symphony Rocks concert will be Aug. 18 at Bluestem Amphitheater in Moorhead.
