FARGO - The International Day of Peace will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Sunday at Ed Clapp Senior Center in the Carlson Library, 2801 32nd Ave. S.

The multifaith celebration of peace will include song, music and narrative. The United Nations has declared it as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.

Laetitia Hellerud will share her story of being a refugee from war-torn Burundi. A girls choir will sing songs of peace. Refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
