Kat Perkins, the Minnesota rocker who grew up in North Dakota, will move on to the next round of "The Voice."

The Minneapolis resident and Scranton, N.D., native was the second contestant saved by voters after opening the NBC singing talent show Tuesday night with Adam Levine and his team. They did a cover of "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.

She will advance to the top 10 and compete next Monday.
