FARGO - The North Dakota Insurance Department's State Health Insurance Counseling Program staff will host a free Medicare Part D enrollment event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Doublewood Inn, 3333 13th Ave. S.
The annual enrollment period for Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage is Oct. 15 to Dec. 7.
Attendees who have received a yellow drug retrieval card should bring it to the event for expedited service. Consumers should also bring a list of medications, including dosages and frequencies.
Eligible North Dakotans unable to attend an annual enrollment event can also receive assistance in the following ways:
- Call 2-1-1 by Nov. 21 from anywhere in North Dakota. Callers should have their medication information ready, and the top three plan choices will be mailed.
- Visit www.medicare.gov and enter information in the Plan Finder tool on the homepage.
