FARGO — North Dakota State University’s theater department is bringing the stage to your home this fall.

The first two productions in the 2020-21 theatrical season will be virtual performances available for audiences to stream.

The season opens on Oct. 15 with “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms.” Follow the Zoom presentation to watch a young woman mourning the death of her sister and getting lost in her world of Dungeons & Dragons. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15-17 and again Oct. 21-24.

Students will give the classic “The Velveteen Rabbit” a radio/podcast treatment with an audio performance available to stream Nov. 7-29.

The spring semester will open with William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, “Macbeth,” in February, and things will close with the musical “Annie” in April. Dates for spring productions will be announced at a later date.
